Site Plan Preparation

California's Building Code (Sec.106.2) requires that a site plan be included among the documents that are submitted as part of a building permit application.  The code requires that a site plan be drawn to scale and show:
  • the size and location of new construction and existing structures on the site (with distances from lot lines)
  • established street grades and proposed finished grades
  • any flood hazard areas, floodways, and design flood elevations

Intend on building from stock plans or wish to install a prefab modular unit?  If so, a site plan will be needed.
